The recent film “Rampant” has received a great response from foreign film markets.
According to a source from a distributing company, “Rampant” was sold to 74 countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Philippines, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and more. The film also topped box offices in the Philippines and Vietnam.
The source added, “It’s a movie with many success factors, such as action, new kinds of zombies, and a refreshing setting.” The film has also received highly anticipated reviews in countries where it has yet to premiere for its unique setting and subject, as well as action scenes.
“Rampant” is about “night demons” that are neither living nor dead and run rampant in the world. In a time of crisis, prince Lee Chung (played by Hyun Bin) returns to Joseon and fights a bloody battle against the villainous Kim Ja Joon (played by Jang Dong Gun).
The film premiered on October 25 in Korea.
